Drunks of Antiquity: The Historic Bar Tour

The Valley of Detroit is pleased to present:

“The Drunks of Antiquity:The Historic Bar Tour”

Saturday, August 12 (TIME TBD)

$42 PER PERSON Provided by the Detroit Bus Company

Ever since Detroit was a mere French missionary outpost, the city’s history has been entwined with the story of its citizens drinking habits. We’ll stop at some of Detroit’s oldest, most notorious and most interesting bars, sharing stories along the way, from the early frontier day’s wild revelry, through the bloody freewheeling days of the Purple Gang, National Prohibition and beyond. YOUR BUS: Bettis is our very first bus and our most famous by a wide margin. The mural is hand painted by Kobie Solomon, the artist who painted the world’s largest freehand mural located at The Russell Industrial Center.

Must be 21 or over please. Tickets include narrated bus tour of locations. No beverages will be included in ticket price.

Tickets are very limited, Register online or call the office at 313.724.1907
